About Us
THE OWNER
Greetings!
Hi! My name is Huma Siddiqui-Seitz. Together with my son Samir Karimi, we started White Jasmine to bring a fusion style of flavors from Pakistan direct to Wisconsin.
I founded White Jasmine after journeying through four continents: Asia, North Africa, Europe and now the US; experiencing the different cultures, people, and foods they had to offer. Even now, years later, just a little bite of a meal from Asia or a taste of North Africa reminds me of my time there. I began to wonder, what if I could achieve a similar effect for people who didn’t have the time, resources, or freedom to travel the world? What if I could bring the world to them?
Food is a unique bridge between cultures and tend to carry the traditions through generations. The power of food and culture is the common thread in every part of the world. When recipes are handed down from one generation to another, it is critical to recognize the subtle elements of this process. There is much more to it than a few traditional recipes – memories are shared over the dinner table more often than just food” – Huma Siddiqui-Seitz.

Based in Madison, WI – a state known for its dairy and attention to locally sourced, socially conscious foods – we’re more than a seller of natural, fusion-blended cheeses and spices. White Jasmine is an experience, and we offer numerous classes in the area to be as immersive as possible. You can get a taste of Pakistan through a bite of Sajji BBQ Gouda or our signature Tandoori Masala blend, or you can get a more hands-on experience through our Steeped in Flavor or Spice Box classes. Either way, you’re learning first-hand the relationship between food and culture once you see what happens when Eastern Spice meets Midwest Nice.
Got any questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out! We love hearing from our customers.
